Allah the Exalted says:
وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ ٱلْإِسْلَـٰمِ دِينًۭا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِى ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted from him, and in the Afterlife he will be among the losers. Sura Aal-e-Imran, 3:85
Islam is the only true, straight, and path to success.
Islam is the only religion that is pure, sacred, and acceptable to the Almighty Creator, Allah. And why wouldn’t it be? Islam is divinely revealed by the Lord of all the worlds, Allah alone, whereas all other ways are man-made, rejected, and invalid by Him.
Islam has been introduced to humanity through the noblest of people — the Prophets and Messengers (peace be upon all of them!).
For the followers of the Final Prophet ﷺ, the blessing is even greater! Not only have we been blessed with the last and most honored Messenger ﷺ, but we’ve also been given a blessed caravan — the noble companions (may Allah be pleased with them all). Our beloved Prophet ﷺ departed from this world after leaving us this radiant group to help us recognize and follow Islam righteously. He ﷺ instructed us to adhere to his Sunnah and the way of the Rightly Guided Caliphs to understand and practice the religion of Islam rightfully.
The core teachings of Islam are incredibly simple — and they alone are the means of eternal salvation.
So we cannot afford to remain unaware of Islam or live without getting to know it. We must embrace what has been authentically passed down to us, to the best of our ability make it a part of our lives, and strive to prepare for death through action and understanding.
We are all witnessing that this is an era of intense trials — a time when truth and falsehood are so intertwined that it becomes difficult to recognize the truth.
If we still remain heedless and let our thoughts wander without restraint, the loss is ours — and it is a devastating one. Why? Because this concerns the protection of our faith and good deeds. Leaving the world without faith means eternal punishment in Hell (may Allah protect us), and ultimate deprivation.
Therefore, we must remain alert and vigilant.
We must turn to Allah with sincere supplication and combine our it with effort. InshaAllah, help will surely come from Allah. No one has ever been left empty-handed after sincerely striving in His path. When Allah, the Most High Himself has promised His support, how can one possibly fail? It simply isn’t possible (to fail)!
It is deeply saddening that many of us are either lazy, indifferent, or even turned away from the path of truth.
What kind of Muslims have we become?! Many of our doubts and confusions revolve around (Imaan) faith and Islam itself. Therefore, it’s time to reflect seriously — where do I truly stand in terms of my faith? This is the moment to repent sincerely. Being born into Islam is a huge blessing — now it’s our responsibility to value it. If our lifestyle contradicts Islamic principles, that’s truly tragic. A Muslim is not supposed to live like that.
Still, we must not despair. What is truly urgent is to return to the path of Allah without delay.
We must turn back to Him. Once the feeling of Imaan (faith) is awakened in our hearts, the journey becomes easier.
But how can we awaken this feeling of Imaan (faith)?
As mentioned earlier — sincere repentance. If we return to Allah with sincerity, He Himself will ignite in us the noble feeling of Imaan and Hidayat (faith and guidance).
After sincere repentance, the next essential step is to seek knowledge of the Religion (Islam).
This cannot be done merely through books. We must seek out scholars — those known for their piety and righteousness. We have to be ready to make sacrifices for this. Unfortunately, this is where many of us go wrong. We either accept or reject people too quickly based on surface-level words or actions. A common complaint is — “We can only see the outward; we can’t see someone’s inner reality!”
That’s true. We judge by what is apparent. But..
We must not rush to conclusions. Spend time, attend gatherings, and observe an individual whom you intend to follow. When you sit in the individual’s company regularly, you come to know a lot about him easily and instinctively. Before taking religious knowledge from anyone, it’s important to assess them as much as possible. This doesn’t require you to be a scholar. Allah has given every person a natural ability to recognize sincerity. Anyone with a clean heart (in search of truth) can find the path of guidance. Allah has granted this fundamental ability to everyone.
When such effort is made with sincerity and Dua, you will, inshaAllah, find true guidance and righteous scholars to follow.
You won’t go astray, by Allah’s will.
Always remember — seeking the truth is the most important pursuit in life.
Think about it: when you intend to buy something valuable, don’t you carefully inspect and compare before making the purchase? That’s quite natural. The reason for it is, as mentioned earlier: we live in a time where truth and falsehood have got mixed together. Everywhere you look at — the real and the fake are hard to separate!
But those who seek the truth sincerely will find it — or at least be close to it.
And there is a divine rule from Allah: the more important something is, the easier He makes it to access. If faith and good deeds are crucial, then the means to attain them can’t be impossibly hard. In reality, they aren’t hard — they just appear to be hard. This is a part of the test: how sincerely a servant seeks the truth?
What truly matters is sincerity — Ikhlas.
Search for Allah, His Path with a pure heart. One cannot afford to lose the priceless jewel of faith by following impostors, deviants, or the misguided people!
When we have direct access to call upon Allah — the Most Merciful — despairing is a grave injustice we commit against us.
We must ask for His help, and we will surely receive it!
So let us take shelter under the shed of Islam!
As death is certain — and it may come suddenly, let us waste no time and begin our return to Allah now. Let’s repent sincerely today and reshape our lives to earn Allah’s pleasure. InshaAllah, this will bring us peace in this life, and whenever death comes — may it be with the sweetness of (Imaan) faith, leading us to our eternal abode – Jannah (the Paradise)!
O Allah! Open for us Your eternal Mercy (Aameen).
